After years of delay, FDA has finally begun reviewing applications from thousands of flavored e-cigarette products that have never been regulated.

The latest federal figures report that 3.6 million young people are vaping with almost 40% of those now doing so frequently. The majority — eight out of ten — use flavored e-cigarettes, with 37% of them using menthol, a flavor for which JUUL has applied for FDA approval, even though the company claims to have abandoned flavors to “combat underage use.” The tobacco industry has historically used menthol--the only flavored cigarette allowed to remain on the market--to target African Americans, leading to generational nicotine addiction and catastrophic health consequences. It has never been more urgent or timely for parents across the country to demand that FDA remove ALL flavored tobacco products to protect ALL of our kids!
